Speak life over your life. Jesus said in John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. This means that the words He spoke have power to change our lives. God our Father used this same principle in Genesis when He spoke and the world was created. We are created in His image therefore we too have the power to use our words to change our circumstances. Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue. So as the saying goes be careful what you wish for! What you say can either give life, causing things in your live to grow or can starve off things in your life.
Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation. Therefore to receive the gift that takes one from death to life. You are required to open your mouth and speak, to make a confession that Jesus is Lord over your life. This should of course come as a result of believing that God raised Him from the dead. It is not enough to just say it, it is powered by your belief that Jesus defeated both death and sin.

Prayer is an effecting tool in protecting your life. We use our words to protect ourselves and our loved ones from praying for simple things like journey mercies to protection from major disasters. In the Lord’s prayer Jesus taught us to pray ‘Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil’ and that about covers it. Speak life to protect your life, to hold on to what is dear and to call on heaven. Also declaring whose we are ensures that we have victory in the battles we face. The Israelites in 2 Chronicles 20 under the leadership of King Jehoshaphat went out into battle singing God’s praises and that battle was won without them having to use their swords.
Jesus said say to the mountain, He taught us to take back control over our lives and to address our challenges directly. I believe this ‘say’ is not about having a conversation or reasoning with the situation. We are not called to make friends or play nice with situations that are not godly. This ‘say’ is about giving commands, about giving an order, telling the mountain to cease and desist. So do not be discouraged and do not fear, your words fuelled by belief have the power to move mountains.

This book is a heartwarming, contemporary love story between a man and a woman contemplating a life together.
