Who is better than God at dealing with a crisis? When a crisis shows up in the life of my loved one I have observed that my response is usually the same. I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Because I am caught totally unawares, I start to scramble my brain for a solution. I can’t see all the pieces because my knowledge, understanding and wisdom are limited and impaired here on earth. However, there is one who is does not get a sinking feeling in the pit of His stomach. He is never caught unawares because He is all knowing. His wisdom is incomparable with anyone else. When crisis hits, you had better have Him on your side.
God is all knowing, He knows what is going on at any given time. Just because we cannot fathom the depth of His knowledge does not mean it is not true. When Mary accepted the responsibility of bearing the son of God, He sent an angel in a dream to speak to Joseph. He allayed Joseph’s fears and doubts. God also warned the wise men in a dream to take a different route home to avoid telling Herod about where the baby could be found. He continued to advise Joseph on the issues pertaining to the safety of Jesus till they were able to return back safely from Egypt. God was several steps ahead of the enemy.
Having foresight means He knows what is going to happen even before it happens. Therefore, He is able to strategically plan and orchestrate an effective response. Jesus knew when He was going to be betrayed, He told Judas to do it quickly. God knew that in the thirty third year of Jesus being on earth, He would be crucified during the passover. Because God knew beforehand, all preparations were in place and Jesus was able to fulfil His mandate of saving mankind by resurrecting on the third day. God’s planning is so meticulous because it is well-informed. And so any issue you face on earth, He already knows. And He has the resources to deal effectively with the situation. Unlike us humans, He is not scrambling about trying to figure out what it all means. He knows how to address the situation. Simply put He just knows.
God’s wisdom is one of His many strengths. In the Book of James it has been described as “ But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving,considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” . We believers have been exceedingly fortunate that because of our relationship with Christ we have been given the precious gift of being indwelled with the Holy Spiri. We have access to God’s wisdom simply by asking and believing for it. This is the kind of wisdom that is relevant to deal with any situation we could possibly face on this earth. After all the bible assures us that there is nothing new understand the sun. Therefore I challenge you this week to trust the Lord because He has seen it all before and He is well able to take care of it!
