Three things we should trust God for. This is not a trick question, it is a well know fact that our children depend on us for everything, especially when they are young. Likewise God is our parent, He is our heavenly Father. Therefore we should trust Him for everything. From the air we breathe, to the spouse we will marry and where we will live. He should be the first person we consult when making major decisions because guess what He created us and He has great plans for our lives. God is omniscient meaning He is all-knowing, nothing is hidden from Him. At any given time, He knows what is happening in the present, He knows what took place in the past. And He knows what is to come, nothing I repeat nothing takes Him by surprise.
Not only am I amazed by the fact that God loves me but I am overwhelmed by the thought of how much He loves me. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life“. Our Father’s gift was so generous that it took into account all those who would insist on not believing in Him. Romans 8:31-39 tells us that nothing can separate us from His love and incase you are in doubt it lists all possible scenarios. Not death, not life, not angels nor demons. Also not our fears nor our worries nor the powers of hell. To seal the deal it ends with nothing in creation will ever separate us from the love of God.
As parents we know our children depend on us to provide for all their needs. And no matter the difficulty in accomplishing this, most parents rise to the occasion time and time again. Without expecting more than a ‘thank you’ in most instances. However, as adults we are suspicious of God’s willingness to provide for us. And in some cases we even doubt His ability to meet our needs. We ask and when we do not immediately receive an answer we continually remind Him and resort to subtle threats of doing it ourselves.
It should be enough for us that God has said it. We should believe that He means what He says and He can do what He says. Also that He desires to fulfil all His promises and that is why He made them and had them written down. In His word there are examples of people in similar situations who received the promises of God. In His word there are also examples of people who failed miserably because of doubt, unbelief and fear. My prayer for you is that you will chose to trust Him no matter how impossible it seems nor how unqualified you feel to make such a request!

Such a great reminder! I saw myself in the one about provision. Funny but true.
